Bubbles & Bows...

So I have a little online gift shop called "Bee-A-Blessing". Well, I say online, but basically it is just a fan page on Facebook. I've tried my hand at a couple of things but what I feel pretty good at are hair bows and laundry detergent. Yup, you heard me right, homemade laundry detergent.

We are in Texas this week and I had a chance to go to Hobby Lobby with my mother-in-law. It was a great trip even without the deals I found. It was nice to be able to have a girls-only-kid-free stroll through the store. It was also nice that Mimi (what the grand kids call Craig's mom) had the energy for the stroll (thanks to all for the prayers).

Mimi actually spotted the essential oils in the soap aisle. I picked out a fragrance for the homemade laundry detergent that is sure to be a must-have for shoppers. I am not sure what I'll call it yet, but it'll have to be something in the relaxation category.

Oh, the fun didn't end in the soap aisle. We also scored 90 yards of quality ribbon of all colors for about 9 bucks. I'm going to start making 'Big Girl Bows' with school colors and special request combinations (birthdays, made-to-match, etc.).

Comment here or email me at dooderstat@yahoo.com if you'd like to request anything or ask questions about the products. Until then, that's about it regarding bubbles and bows...

oh my gosh... July 2008?

So, I've decided to pick blogging back up since I'll be officially 'deactivating' the Facebook account soon. I just realized that I haven't 'blogged' since July of 2008. Sham-wow.

I said I'd blog about my church in the last blog, I'll do that soon, I'm sure. Until then I just wanted to make sure I could do this accurately. I want to focus on my crafty bidniz (Bee-A-Blessing Gift Shop). I'll try to find a way to link a new page to this one.

Alrighty, that's it for now... just testing my skills.
